Hi friends! It's been so nice to hear from many of you. I see you are still reading, writing, and learning at home and I am so happy to hear that. Here are some photos of your friends learning from home. Send me photos anytime :) These are some photos from the past few weeks of the kids playing together. It warms my heart to see their creativity and teamwork. We made number mats and used math manipulatives and dice to practice one more and one less. Students rolled 2 or 3 dice to show "My Number" then used their manipulatives to create One Less than their number and One More than their number. This is an easy game to play at home, too. We had so much fun making heart hats for Valentines Day! Thank you, Amy, for reading to us and bringing all the fun supplies. We celebrated the 100th day of school with lots of 100 counting, sharing our 100 collections, and exercising to 100. CardMyYard did an AWESOME job with our school's 100 sign!
The kids did awesome with their Show and Tell. I love seeing their confidence grow as they share special items with friends. Our audience and question asking skills are also improving! What an aWESOME winter craft day we had! Thank you to everyone who bought materials, prepped materials, and volunteered in the classroom. It was so fun watching the kids eat cookies, play bingo, make penguins, and create snowman magnets. Next week we'll focus on Arctic Animals. We had a blast doing fall crafts today. A HUGE thanks to the room moms and volunteers who made this day a success! I enjoyed watching all the activities and seeing the many smiles on the kiddos faces. Activity: Fall Pom Creatures & Leaf Puppets Activity: Turkey Magnets Activity: Turkey Necklaces Activity: Tissue Paper Trees We are going to have fun with Thanksgiving activities next week. Thank you again to everyone who volunteered or donated items for our fun craft day!
Every class at OHES has what we call Grade Level Buddies. Our grade level buddy class is Mrs. Martin's third graders. Today they came to our rooms with handwritten letters and supplies to make a collage with our class. |
